What does the Free tier actually let me do?
Three sessions, three widgets on canvas, three-minute renders at 1080p60. No watermarks, no time bomb, hardware-accelerated encode and unlimited channels are all included, and you can import and use widgets other people share. Plenty for a single test day; Pro removes the caps and adds the Widget Studio for building your own widgets.
What is the Widget Studio?
A visual editor for building your own overlay widgets — gauges, readouts, shift lights, lower thirds — from shapes, arcs, needles, bars, text and images bound to your telemetry. No code. Building widgets is part of Pro. Anyone, Free included, can import and use widgets shared as .apxwidget files.
Do I get all future updates?
Yes. Every update is included for the lifetime of the software — no v2 upgrade fee, no paid major versions. Buy it once, get every release.
Can I use it on more than one machine?
Yes — Pro is a personal license, activate it on up to three machines you own. Don't share with the whole grid.
Will there be a subscription?
No. We considered it; we hated it; we shipped one-time. One purchase covers every version, forever.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
Your sessions, projects, and footage stay entirely on your machine — never uploaded. The app sends anonymized crash and error reports (no project content, no file paths, no personal info — see the Privacy policy for the exact fields), and there's an opt-in update check. That's it.
